Horse Farm Owners Arrested for Alleged Cruelty to 55 Horses

Owners of a Ventura County, Calif., horse farm were taken into custody Wednesday after animal welfare authorities found 55 allegedly malnourished horses on the property, The Los Angeles Times reported.
The owners, named in the report as Joan Bor, her son Ernie Bor, and his wife, Cecilia Bor, were arrested on multiple counts of felony animal cruelty. More than 100 horses lived at their Cochema Ranch. According to the report, authorities removed 51 of the animals from the property. The rest remain at the facility where they are being supervised by the Ventura County Animal Regulation Department.
