A retired carriage horse and another horse were among six animals that died in a blaze on a farm Jan. 31 near Hanover Township, Ohio, according to an article on Cincinnati.com, the Web site of The Enquirer (https://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070202/NEWS01/702020397/1056/COL02).


Amos, who formerly pulled sightseeing carriages in downtown Cincinnati, had been retired because of age, according to the article. His companion Doodles, a gray horse, also died, along with there sheep and a goat. The barn cat Midnight survived.
