Law enforcement authorities in Maryland are seeking those responsible for shooting a show horse residing in a Charles County pasture.

Diane Richardson, press secretary for Charles County Sheriff Rex Coffey said the horse's owner discovered the 8-year-old Morgan horse lying in its pasture on Jan. 21. The horse had sustained a gunshot wound to the leg and was later euthanized.

A cash reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest and indictment of those responsible for the shooting.
