Texas Horse Thieves Sought
- Topics: Welfare and Industry
Texas authorities are hoping the public can help identify those responsible for allegedly stealing two groups of horses near Cypress.
The first incident took place earlier this month when an owner reported that pair of Arabian horses went missing from a barn at Isabella Farms, said Senior Deputy Thomas M. Gilliland, of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. Both horses were recovered when a neighbor discovered them grazing in a residential area a mile from the farm.
The second incident took place May 8, when another owner reported that two yearlings and a pregnant mare were reported missing, he said. Reports indicate those horses were recovered, as well.
Gilliland said the incidents do not appear to be connected but declined further comment on the continuing investigations
