Kentucky Foal Shot, Euthanized

Kentucky law enforcement authorities are hoping the public can help identify those responsible for shooting a foal in a Jessamine County pasture.
A written statement the Jessamine County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report that several rifle shots were fired into a horse paddock at the Springhouse Farm, in Nicholasville, on Sept. 27. A Thoroughbred foal was wounded in the incident. Due to the severity of the foal’s injuries, the animal was euthanized.
As the investigation continues anyone with information about the incident should call Deputy Todd Sponcil at 859/887-5447.
