Reward Offered in Arizona Wild Horse Shooting

The Salt River Wild Horse Management Group (SRWHMG) is hoping the offer of a cash reward will help identify those responsible for fatally shooting of a pair of wild horses.

A written statement from the SRWHMG said the carcasses of two horses were found in Arizona’s Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest, close to the Heber Wild Horse Territory, on Oct. 13. Both animals had been shot, the statement said.

The incident is the latest since 2016 when three wild horses were shot in the Salt River area. Those responsible for that shooting was never found, the statement said
