A Utah man is facing animal cruelty charges after allegedly dragging a draft horse behind a truck.

In a written statement, Juab County, Utah, Sheriff Douglas Anderson said that on April 1, law enforcement personnel responded to a call to keep the peace at the Young Living Lavender Farm, in Mona, where the farm manager was in the process of terminating an employee for alleged animal cruelty. Upon arrival, deputies saw video recordings taken by farm visitors that showed a horse being dragged behind a truck, falling, and attempting unsuccessfully to get back on his feet.

After reviewing the videos and interviewing other farm employees, deputies arrested Yader Freeman and charged him with animal cruelty. Freeman was taken to the Juab County Jail.
