  1. I use 3 sources. Articles in The Horse are a great resource. My veterinarian, has been wonderful with new insights and recommendations. I also use manufacturers’ websites when I am looking for detailed information about ingredients and applications. Every horse owner who has had to deal with skin issues has probably been very frustrated, but if you find a vet who specializes in horses, they are very helpful. Don’t give up!

  2. I have found that just about every product I have used works the same as other products do and are effective for about the same amount of time. I try to put aside the hype and read lables. Looking up the difficult to pronounce words in the ingredients list. Surprisingly most have the same or simular ingredients

  3. Honestly, I start with Google to find the names and general descriptions of popular products. Then I research those products through the manufacturer’s website and look for reviews. When I have narrowed my choices to what I think is best (or if I find nothing that suits my needs) I ask my Vet for his recommendations. Then research his suggestions online as well for the best education.
