  1. Food is fun. My mare eats free choice hay that high energy, but then gets alfalfa with flax, black sunflower seeds, paprika for her coat, salt, probiotic, and peppermint tea.

  2. My 14yr old gelding gets Nutrena maintenance feed, ground flax seeds, sunflower oil, and biotin for his hoofs. Yes, he maintains his weight and his coat always looks good. The biotin seriously helps his hoofs bigtime.

  3. I have 4 senior Arabians (over the age of 25), 3 are former broodmares, one is my retired gelding – he has Cushings, controlled with Prascend. Per my vet’s recommendation I feed Triple Crown Senior, and since we live in a low selinium area he has me feed a supplement to cover that as well.

  4. Barn bag pellets and Uckele Gut for my 20 yo mare and 25 yo gelding. Additionally MSM, salt and the mare is on Prascend due to PPID and insulin resistance. In addition to controlled pasture access, they receive hay as needed.

  5. High feed Triple Crown 30% protein balancer, and a small amount of alfalfa cubes or pellets for bulk.

  6. I have a 4 yo OTTB. In addition to grass and hay he gets a Ration Balancer and a 1/4 scoop of Kalm N Ez. He maintains his weight and a shiny coat on this feeding plan.
