Nicola Pusterla, DVM, PhD, Dipl. ACVIM, AVDC-Equine
Nicola Pusterla, PhD, Dipl. ACVIM, AVDC-Equine, is a professor of equine internal medicine and dentistry at the University of California, Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine. He graduated from the University of Zurich, in Switzerland, and earned his PhD with an emphasis on vector-borne diseases. Pusterla’s professional and research interests include equine internal medicine and dentistry, with a focus on equine infectious diseases, including epidemiology, diagnostics, prevention, and treatment.
Rob Keene, DVM
Rob Keene, DVM is a senior professional services veterinarian with Boehringer Ingelheim. He joined the Boehringer team in 2008 and provides technical and sales support to the company’s equine customers across the country and has more than 40 years of experience in practice and industry.
Keene received his undergraduate degree in animal science from Montana State University in 1980. He attended veterinary school at Colorado State University and graduated in 1983. He began his practice career in California in an exclusively equine practice, focusing on herd health, reproduction, and surgery. Since 1985 Keene has served as a consultant and technical services veterinarian for many veterinary and research companies. He serves on the advisory board for the equine sciences program at Montana State University and participated on various AAEP committees. Keene works primarily in the United States on behalf of Boehringer Ingelheim and lives in Three Forks, Montana, farming and ranching with his wife, Linda.
