Three North Carolina residents were injured late Saturday night (Sept. 30) when their vehicle crashed into a horse that had wandered onto a dark roadway in Guilford County.

Three North Carolina residents were injured late Saturday night (Sept. 30) when their vehicle crashed into a horse that had wandered onto a dark roadway in Guilford County.
The victims, including a 3-year-old girl, were taken to Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, state Highway Patrol troopers said. Their names and conditions were not released; all were from Stokesdale.
The horse, which had escaped from its pen, was killed.
The animal appeared to have pinned the driver in his seat, possibly pinning his foot on the accelerator, officials said
