Racehorse’s Wins to Benefit Horse Health Research

Dogwood Stable has announced it will donate 1% of 2013 Belmont Stakes winner Palace Malice's future graded stakes wins to the Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation.
The 4-year-old Curlin colt will make his 2014 debut in the Gulfstream Park Handicap on Saturday, March 8.
"What better cause than Grayson, whose research is vital to improving the health and welfare of horses? The breed has benefitted enormously through the vigorous efforts of this division of the Jockey Club," said Cot Campbell, president of Dogwood Stable. "Any successful racehorse outfit owes a debt to Grayson, and we hope to strike a significant blow toward it in the coming year. And whatever it may be is not enough.
"This sort of percentage commitment of a horse's earnings has been done by a few others in the past, and it should catch on as a logical procedure for the future. I hope more and more owners will consider it. It could get to be a truly significant funding factor for Grayson. Predictably, our partners are enthusiastic about our pledge
