A juvenile faces criminal mischief charges in connection with the alleged vandalism of a horse barn in Lexington, Ky., this past weekend.

Lexington Police Department Public Information Officer Sherelle Roberts said that on Nov. 6, police were called to a farm on Jacks Creek Pike, where the farm operator reported discovering that the manes and tails of horses residing in the barn had been cut and that horse feed had been destroyed. The barn structure also had been vandalized with spray paint, Roberts said. She declined to name the farm or its operator.

On Nov. 7 Lexington police arrested a juvenile in connection with the incident.

Roberts declined further comment on the case
