TheHorse.com has passed the 1,000th fan milestone on the popular social media network Facebook. TheHorse.com launched a Facebook page at Facebook.com/TheHorse in March 2009. Facebook is a self-described social utility that connects people with friends, family, associates, and others who work, study, and live around them. Users can add friends and send them messages, update their personal profiles to notify friends about themselves, and join groups and networks organized by city, workplace, school, and region. They can also become fans of groups and businesses such as TheHorse.com.
A Compete.com article published earlier this year ranked Facebook as the most used social network by worldwide monthly active users.
TheHorse.com’s Facebook page enables equine owners and equine-related health care professionals to follow news and information of interest to those in the equine industry, and to interact with fellow enthusiasts on a wide-range of important horse health care topics.
