Duncan F. Peters, DVM, MS, has been elected to a three-year term on the American Association of Equine Practitioners’ (AAEP) Board of Directors. Peters, of Kalispell, Mont., will represent the members of the nine states which comprise the Western district.
A graduate of the University of California-Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, Peters is an associate with LaSalle Veterinary Clinic in Kalispell. He specializes in the care of English and Western performance and pleasure horses. A member of the AAEP since 1991, Peters has chaired the AAEP’s Horse Show Committee, served on the Trail and Events Committee and facilitated the Performance Horse Forum at the Annual Convention.
Peters’ term on the Board of Directors will begin at the 46th AAEP Annual Convention in San Antonio, Texas, November 26 – 29.
The American Association of Equine Practitioners, headquartered in Lexington, Kentucky, was founded in 1954 as a non-profit organization dedicated to the health and welfare of the horse. Currently, AAEP reaches more than 5 million horse owners through its 6,500 members worldwide and is actively involved in ethics issues, practice management, research and continuing education in the equine veterinary profession and horse industry
