The American Quarter Horse Association is teaming up with Bayer Animal Health to bring horse enthusiasts across the country an opportunity to learn more about horses.

The Best Remuda Tours are a series of educational clinics hosted by renown author and trainer Joe Wolter of the 6666 Ranch in Guthrie, Texas. The clinics will be held in conjunction with three Working Ranch Cowboys Association’s Rodeos and will be an opportunity for families, ranch employees and horse enthusiasts to learn more about ranch horses and their suitability for most any horseman.

“These clinics are structured with hands-on demonstrations that will enhance the entire learning experience,” said Bill Brewer, AQHA Executive Vice President. “It is our goal at AQHA to provide educational outlets to those who work with American Quarter Horses everyday.” Wolter, trainer of horses since age 12, uses revelations of non-confrontational, behavior-shaping techniques of training to start and show horses for the 6666 Ranch. In his demonstrations for the Best Remuda Tour, Wolter will focus on two topics: a ranch roping clinic and starting colts on cattle. Both will feature techniques and methods that will improve the horse’s performance as well as sharpen any cowboy’s skill. Spectators can also learn about horsemanship and animal health issues
