Univ. of Md. Extension Schedules Routine Horse Care Lectures
The University of Maryland Extension has scheduled a three-part lecture series on routine horse health care at their Harford Country Extension Office in Forest Hill. The lectures will take place Sept. 11, 18, and 25 from 7 to 9 p.m.
Each session will feature a different aspect of routine horse health care–including veterinary care, farriery care, and dental care–and will feature a different local speaker. Speakers include Anna Snarski, DVM, of Muddy Creek Veterinary Service in Fawn Grove, Pa.; Chris Deihl, CJF, a farrier from Spring Grove, Pa.; and Paul Drake, an equine dentist from Baltimore County, Md.
Registration is $15 per person. Deadline is Sept. 7, but interested parties are encouraged to register early as space is limited. To register, call 410/638-3255 or e-mail sbh@umd.edu.
