The Horses and Humans Research Foundation (HHRF) is inviting research proposals to investigate the therapeutic effects of horses on humans. The Foundation’s broad research agenda includes basic research as well as clinical studies that will ultimately impact physical and mental health and the quality of life for participants in equine-assisted activities/therapies.

Grants are awarded on a competitive basis, taking into account scientific merit, scientific and clinical significance, and relevance to areas designated by the Foundation. Preference will be given to investigators with solid credentials and research experience. The average grant award is $50,000 for up to a one year period.

HHRF scientific committee members will be leading Webinars leading up to the May 15 deadline. These hour-long Webinars are focused on the HHRF research grant application process and allow ample time for prospective researchers’ questions and answers. Space is limited and registration is required. Go to the HHRF Web site or e-mail webinar@horsesandhumans.org for more information.
