Two races on Gulfstream Park’s racing card have been canceled because of a temporary quarantine of horses at nearby Calder Race Course.

The first and sixth races on Sunday were removed from the program.

Florida officials closed Calder’s barn area late Saturday because a horse was sick. Horses stabled at other facilities are not affected by the closure, but about one-third of the 118 entries on Gulfsteam’s Sunday card have been staying at Calder.

Gulfstream is closed Monday and Tuesday. A decision about Wednesday’s racing has not yet been made
