Atari announced the support of the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI, the international body governing equestrian sport) for its intention to create horse-themed video games. Atari says it will bring high-quality equestrian sport and lifestyle games to the market, with a launch in 2007.
Atari is the first software publisher to be awarded the FEI license. The FEI hopes to attract more young people to real horses through exposure to video gaming.
