A public forum on preliminary recommendations by the Sales Integrity Task Force to the Kentucky legislature on auction transparency issues will be held at the Keeneland sale pavilion Oct. 15 at 1 p.m. EDT.

The 36-member task force, which comprises individuals connected to both the buying and selling sides of the industry, including breeds other than Thoroughbreds, in February was given charge of evaluating proposed Kentucky legislation that sought to establish standards on ownership and medical disclosures for sale horses.

The forum will include a presentation by several participants on the task force as well as a period to take questions from the audience, according to a news release issued Oct. 4 by the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association, which governs the task force.
