The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine is hosting a weeklong, in-depth training course on Foreign Animal and Emerging Diseases from May 13-18, 2007, in Knoxville, Tenn. The course, which is jointly sponsored with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, includes speakers with international expertise on foreign animal and emerging diseases.

The training course provides an excellent opportunity to enhance awareness of foreign animal and emerging diseases for veterinarians, veterinary technicians and extension agents. Individuals in private practice, academia, industry and government who are responsible for foreign animal disease outbreak control/response are encouraged to attend. Registration space is limited.
