GiftThe Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games won’t be the only multinational affair coming to the Kentucky Horse Park this year. The park’s International Museum of the Horse has partnered with the Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation to bring to the Bluegrass the largest and most comprehensive collection of art and artifacts dedicated to the role of the Arabian horse in Near Eastern civilizations.

A Gift from the Desert: the Art, History, and Culture of the Arabian Horse will be held at the museum May 29 through Oct. 15 and will feature more than 400 pieces from more than 15 countries and 27 museums and lenders. Coinciding with the World Equestrian Games, the exhibit gives hundreds of thousands of visitors the opportunity to experience the story of one of history’s most influential breeds
