The US team of Shawn Flarida on RC Fancy Step, Tim McCutcheon on Gunners Special Nite, Tim McQuay on Hollywoodtinseltown, and Craig Schmersal on Mister Montana Nic claimed team gold in the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games reining competition in Lexington, Kentucky. Flarida’s score of 227.0 was the highest of the team competition.

All of the Americans qualified for the reining individual final, scheduled for September 30.

This is the third WEG to include reining, and the third team gold for the Americans. 

Belgium won its first-ever WEG reining medal in Kentucky, claiming silver. The Italian team won bronze, for the third time at WEG.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) dominated the team endurance

competition, with a combined total riding time of 23:56:aaep-2006. Riding for
