In September of this year, Ryerss Farm for Aged Equines will offer its third annual NAERIC (North American Equine Ranching Information Council) Foal Adoption Program. A representative from Ryerss will travel to a PMU ranch in North Dakota to purchase foals for selected buyers from the Northeast.

Potential buyers will need to contact Ryerss and obtain an adoption application form, which must be filled out and returned by no later than June 1, 2001. The staff at Ryerss will review all applications, check references and contact buyers to let them know when their foals will be arriving (usually in mid- to late-September). On the form, applicants have the opportunity to indicate what type of foal they are looking for and Ryerss will do its best to honor requests, although no guarantees can be made. The purchase price of the foals will include transportation from North Dakota to Ryerss, located in Coventryville, south of Pottstown in Chester County, PA. New owners, however, will be responsible for safe transportation of their foal from Ryerss to their own facility.

For more information about Ryerss NAERIC Foal Adoption Program, contact Ryerss Farm for Aged Equines at 610-469-0533 or via email at ryerss@aol.com. A sample of the adoption form is available at www.ryerss.com.
