In response to repeated inquiries and as part of the American Horse Shows Associations Drugs and Medications continuing education program, the AHSA released an interview September 14, 2000, in which Dr. John Lengel, the Administrator of the Drugs and Medications Programs, spoke with Dr. George Maylin, Associate Professor at Cornell University, regarding cocaine and its use in horses.


The interview follows one by Dr. John Lengel, the Administrator of the Drugs and Medications Program, released September 1, 2000, discussing the amendments to the Drugs and Medications Rule. Future interviews will be scheduled on other topics pertaining to the Drugs and Medications Rule and the policies and procedures by which it is enforced. The interview will appear on the AHSA web site at www.ahsa.org.
