Michigan State University's (MSU) online horse management program and the Universidad Mayor in Chile have partnered to offer two My Horse University courses in Spanish. Horse enthusiasts will now have access to short online learning experiences in Spanish on the topics of breeding mares and understanding equine conformation.

In "Evaluation Conformation: Form to Function," participants will receive an introduction to the aspects of equine conformation essential for selecting a horse for performance or breeding, such as balance, structure, and muscling. "Preparing and Breeding Your Mare" begins with basic information about the mare's reproductive anatomy and then explores the mare's reproductive cycle, appropriate times to breed, and breeding techniques.

These online courses are designed by equine experts and offer science-based horse management strategies to horse owners and horse enthusiasts. In addition to course material, participants will have access to a webcast given by an expert.
