A wild horse advocate is asking a federal court to stop the Bureau of Land Management from rounding-up animals anywhere gathers are planned.
In a motion filed in U.S. District Court in Reno, Nev., on Sept. 24, Laura Leigh asked the court to grant a temporary restraining order ceasing all BLM helicopter round-ups and all other wild horse movement activities including the placement of horses at long and short term holding facilities.
BLM Spokesman Tom Gorey declined to comment on the case.
