On Jan. 15, Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry (ODAFF) officials released 10 additional horses from quarantine for equine herpesvirus-1 (EHV-1) at Remington Park Racetrack in Oklahoma County.

The horses released completed two negative tests seven days apart and went 14 days with no fevers, no clinical signs compatible with EHV-1, and no exposure to EHV-1-positive horses.

Of the approximately 120 exposed horses, seven confirmed positive remain under quarantine at Remington Park (three of which are in the isolation barn), and two horses continue to be quarantined at their owner’s premises
