Ontario Barn Blaze Claims 12 Horses
Fire authorities in Ontario, Canada, are investigating the cause of a blaze that killed a dozen horses.
Wellington North Fire Service Chief Dave Guilbault said crews responded to a call about a barn fire just west of Mount Forest on Jan. 14. At the scene firefighters discovered a barn containing 13 horses fully involved in fire. Twelve horses perished, while the last escaped the flames, Guilbault said.
Fire damage is estimated at CAD$500,000, he said.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation
