Law enforcement authorities in Oklahoma are seeking the driver of a truck that was pulling an overloaded horse trailer from which five horses fell onto Interstate 44 in Tulsa County last week.
Tulsa County Sheriff’s Deputy David Long said that on April 22 six or seven horses were traveling in a trailer intended to carry four horses when the trailer’s back door opened and five of the horses fell out onto the highway.
"The driver kept going and never stopped, until he got further down the road and closed the back of the trailer," Long said. "One or two more horses were still in the trailer."
City of Tulsa Animal Control and Tulsa County Sheriff’s Department personnel gathered the animals and removed them from the scene
