There were no injuries to humans or horses when a broodmare barn at Robert N. Clay’s Three Chimneys Farm was destroyed by fire after being struck by lightning Sunday evening, July 24.
According to a statement from the Midway, Ky., farm, the fire at the broodmare division destroyed the Spinster barn.
There were reports of sporadic damage, including downed trees and power outages, as a result of the strong storm that moved through Central Kentucky
