Two Oklahoma men are facing multiple animal cruelty charges for allegedly allowing their dogs to feed on carcasses of their dead horses.

LeFlore County Undersheriff Donnie Edwards said that on Dec. 12 Sheriff’s Department personnel arrested Albert McReynolds and his grandson William McReynolds after discovering several dogs chained to horse carcasses on McReynolds’ property, allegedly to feed on the dead horses. Investigators also confiscated four live horses residing on the property. Those animals are now under rehabilitative care.

"They were in bad shape; really bad shape," Edwards said.

Neither Albert nor William McReynolds was available for comment
