The Belmont Bash, hosted by the New York Racing Association and The Jockey Club, will be held June 8 at the historic Hudson Theatre at the Millennium Broadway Hotel in New York City. The Bash once again will benefit the Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation.
“Raising funds for an equine charity whose sole purpose is improving the health and welfare of the horse is the perfect way to spend the eve of New York’s classic race, the Belmont Stakes,” New York Racing Association president and chief executive officer Charles Hayward said.
The event will feature cocktails and dinner and musical entertainment by Beatles tribute band The Fab Faux. Tickets are $350. The Hudson Theatre was built in 1903 by Henry B. Harris, who later perished aboard the Titanic. It features Tiffany ceilings, spectacular chandeliers, and Tiffany mosaic tiles that have been restored to their opening-night appearance.
More information about the Belmont Bash can be obtained by contacting Nancy Kelly at 212/521-5305 or Jenifer Van Deinse at 212/521-5327
