Independent Charities of America has awarded Days End Farm Horse Rescue (DEFHR, www.defhr.org) with the “Best In America” seal of approval for adhering to the highest standards of accountability and successfully managing the organization’s finances in an efficient and effective manner.
“That means that your dollars donated to Days End are among the most powerful dollars ever spent in horse protection,” says Kathleen Schwartz, DEFHR executive director.
Of the 50,000+ charities that participate in the Independent Charities of America, only 1,500 have been awarded the “Best In America” seal.
The “Best In America” seal was inspired by the recent comparative review of “watchdog” groups by the National Council of Nonprofit Associations. The Council included the CFC standards in its review, and it was obvious that those standards match or often exceed the standards of other groups
