Ace is my 29 yo half Arab. Still outsmarts me and loves to play. His Cushing’s and arthritis have to be managed with medication but there is no stopping him. Short slow rides are needed as he out paces my walk!
Buford is a thoroughbred here at Orphan Acres and will be turning 49 this year and dose not act his age!
He hangs out with Degree ! Miss-d, that will be 33 this year also a Thoroughbred.They live in the senior barn with their other buddies.

Unfortunately we lost Badge this last fall do to his age he was 48 and also a Thoroughbred and loved playing with the younger horse.
A horse is a life long commitment all they need is love
24 yr young going on 3 yrs. OTTB Most playful and energetic of all my horses! All about the play! He goes from one horse, to the next horse, to the next, until he is back at the first horse, again….He will out live us all. Still health, fit and 100% sound! Just got a clean bill of health from his vet to event this next season! Love OTTB!
