  1. I have a 1″ Western wool felt pad. It gets brushed after every ride and deep cleaned (washed) 1 or 2x a year.

  2. I wash saddle pads as needed, depending on how clean the horse is, how much he/she sweats, and weather. It may be anywhere from weekly to every few months.

  3. In summer I wash saddle pads as often as every time I use them. In winter, when the horses are blanketed, they stay much cleaner, and they sweat very little when being worked in the cold, so saddle pads are washed when they look a bit grubby.
