  1. I recently had to euthanize a mare that was afflicted with a congenital deformity of her front feet from the fetlock joint down. She toed in severely and rolled over the outside. As she aged the issue became more severe and moving to an environment with sandy soil exacerbated the issue. Sadly if most anyone else had been her keeper/steward she would have been ‘thrown away’ long before she turned almost 20…
