  1. I give my horses IV injections as well because I am a registered veterinary technician with over 20 years experience. Other than Coggins testing, I also draw their blood for routine blood work, too. I have seen too many issues with untrained owners giving IV injections.

  2. I give my own horses IV injections because I am a veterinarian. Would not recommend it for lay persons. In over 20 yrs of practice I have seen many reactions to IV medications.
