  1. Agree. But, having only one horse I want to keep them happy and coming back. Hence, I tip about 15 percent.

  2. The farrier is in business for himself. What he charges is sufficient. Tips should be reserved for people who are working for someone else.

  3. 25% unless the horse is misbehaving. Then 35%. As a result, he’s stuck with me for years, even after I moved out of his usual area.
