The Quarter Horse from Parker County is the state’s first confirmed case of EHM this year.
Horses at Laurel Park and Pimlico have now tested positive.
No other horses have shown fever or clinical signs for 24 days.
Canadian officials have enacted voluntary quarantines at both facilities.
The cases are not epidemiologically linked to recent Marion County cases.
No additional cases have been confirmed for 14 days.
The Sonoma County boarding facility has had no further cases in 14 days.
Other horses were potentially exposed at two events.
The original hold order has been reset.
The case marks the province’s fifth confirmed case of EHV-1 resulting in EHM.
Three exposed mares remain under 21-day quarantine.
One of the horses was euthanized. The state has placed an additional 22 potentially exposed horses under quarantine.
Exposed horses now number 31.
The Sonoma County horse is undergoing treatment at a veterinary isolation unit.
The World Equestrian Center quarantine on Barn D has been lifted.
