The pair from Great Britain hold the lead on a score of 37. Germany leads the team competition with 122 points.

Three team horses–one each from Germany, New Zealand, and Sweden–have been withdrawn; reserve horses will compete.

Switzerland’s Steve Guerdat will ride the same horse he did in London four years ago: Nino des Buissonnets.

Reigning Olympic champion Michael Jung (GER) and the rest of the field will kick off the competition on Aug. 6.

The Olympic dressage, eventing, and jumping competitions will feature 200 horses and riders from 43 countries.
