The sixth annual Kentucky Trail Summit, designed as an educational and networking event for horseback trail users, will be held Nov. 15-17, 2013 at the Natural Bridge State Park in Slade, Ky.
Sponsored by the Kentucky Horse Council (KHC) and the Kentucky Equine Education Project (KEEP), the Trail Summit offers a full day of speakers on topics relevant to trail riding such as understanding truck weights and towing capacities, horse restraint options on the trail, trail etiquette, and more. A second optional day features hands on workshops on trailer safety and maintenance, and GPS tracking. Educational sessions begin on Saturday morning, and optional workshops will be held Sunday morning.
Registration prices are $35 for general trail riders, $30 for members of KHC and KEEP, $15 for youth 18 and under, and $10 for optional Sunday workshops. Online registration will be available in June. Full registration includes a welcoming reception on Nov. 17, all educational sessions, and lunch on Saturday. Workshop registration includes just the workshop sessions and no meals.
Sponsorships are available for $100 and include a display table at the conference. Interested sponsors can call the KHC at 859/367-0509
