Six animal nonprofit organizations will win a year’s supply of Vetericyn wound and skin care products in the third annual "Vetericyn Loves Animals" charity giveaway. Parent company Innovacyn has announced that nominations for the online contest will open Sept. 1 on the Vetericyn website, and voting will take place on the Vetericyn Facebook page Oct. 2-30.

"This contest is our way of giving back and recognizing the organizations and selfless volunteers who work throughout the year to help animals in need," said Tabitha Cromer, marketing communication manager for Innovacyn. "Filling out the nomination form just takes a few minutes, but as we’ve heard from past winners, can make a huge difference in helping an organization as they work to improve the lives and health of animals."

To be eligible for participation, nominated charities must serve animals and be located in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico. You may nominate an organization by heading to the Vetericyn website during the nomination period and provide basic information about the group you support. Organizations are divided into two categories: those who primarily serve small animals (cats, dogs, exotics, etc.) and those who serve large animals (donkeys, horses, etc.). At the end of the voting period, the three large animal and three small animal organizations with the most votes will be named winners.

Last year’s winners were All Vegas Horses’ Local Equine Assistance Network, The Wildlife Aid Foundation, 832 K-9’s Deputy Dogs, Prince Fluffy Kareem, and Hedgehog Bottom
