The British Equine Veterinary Association (BEVA) has organized a practice management forum, sponsored by Pfizer Animal Health, to help equine veterinary practices get the best out of their business. The two-day session will be held June 26-27 at the Marriott Forest of Arden in Birmingham, England.

Presenters have been carefully chosen to bring a fresh perspective to some of the most important elements of practice management:

  • Andrew Gillespie, managing director of Montforte Wines and a former marketing director of Barclays Bank and Standard Life will provide a perspective on the marketing of services;
  • Adam Auckburally, BVSc, Cert. VA, Dipl. ECVAA, MRCVS, a small animal clinician at Scotland’s University of Glasgow, will lead discussions on how to make the practice pharmacy efficient and compliant;
  • Julian Samuelson, MA, VetMB, MRCVS, managing partner of Bell Equine Veterinary Clinic in Kent, will explore the pros and cons of zoning and look at the challenges from internet pharmacies; and
  • Nick Steele and Amy Rook will also bring their expertise to bear on how to get the best from staff and clients.

Delegates are welcome to attend either day one, day two, or both days, with the latter including a three course dinner and overnight’s accommodation. Fees for the two days are £420 for BEVA members and £565 for nonmembers. Places are filling up fast. For more information and to reserve your place visit www.beva.org.uk.
