Horse enthusiasts looking to pick up the latest cost-effective, science-based information on managing their animals can register now to attend the April 16 "Key Steps to Revitalizing Your Equine Partner" seminar in Cherokee, Okla.

The Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service seminar is open to anyone with an interest in horses, said Tommy Puffinbarger, Alfalfa County Extension director and agricultural educator.

"Participants can pick up practical tips on how to keep their equine partner healthy, safe from injury, and enjoying their various activities, be they young or old horses," he said. "It’s also an opportunity to interact with equine specialists and other horse enthusiasts, plus we will be showcasing equine-related booths."

Seminar sessions will focus on equine chiropractic, veterinary concerns, hoof care, nutrition requirements, exercise physiology, and basic equine exercise practices
