Streptococcus equi In California
According to the California Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory System, Streptococcus equi upper respiratory tract infection and lymphadenopathy was diagnosed in two adult Quarter Horses housed in the mountains of California. One of the two horses had been in an urban area and became sick immediately upon its return. The second horse became ill after contact with the returning animal
