Ariat’s Rugged West is a new collection of footwear that is very different from the familiar Ariat footwear lines that feature performance driven, comfortable and stylish Western and English boots and footwear. Rugged West is a casual line of shoes and boots that are not for riding. They are more laid-back with a younger look and appeal. The collection includes five styles for ladies and four styles for men. All the styles have Ariat’s famous technology that makes them the most comfortable footwear available.

Your challenge is to write a press release on the Rugged West Collection, or one of the styles, and creatively convey to a national, under 30 audience why Rugged West is so ‘great’ or ‘cool’ or however you think is the most effective way to describe this new footwear line. (In English or a fact simile thereof, please.) You need to relate that all the styles have Ariat’s famous technology that makes them comfortable with no break in period. You need to also explain that they have a sockliner with moisture wicking properties and a contoured heel cup to stabilize the foot. And you should tell the national audience, who will read your press release, that Rugged West footwear has a double stitched welt, premium, full-grain leather uppers and a sand-blasted blown rubber outsole for maximum flexibility, comfort and cushioning.
