In conjunction with its focus on the plight of the retired and unwanted Thoroughbred in the Feb. 28 issue of Blood-Horse magazine, Blood-Horse Publications announces the establishment of what is believed to be the first-ever online directory of Thoroughbred welfare and rescue organizations. Located on the web at https://retirement.bloodhorse.com, the site features a searchable database of foundations and facilities located throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico, as well as England, Portugal and New Zealand.

In addition, the site also offers online visitors the opportunity to submit additional Thoroughbred retirement resources for inclusion in the online directory. The site, which is “live” and ready to serve, can also be accessed via a hyperlink in the Web Resources section of the left-side navigation menu of all major pages of bloodhorse.com.

These listings represent both nonprofit and for-profit organizations. The Blood-Horse cannot vouch for, recommend, or guarantee any of the facilities listed. The listings are provided strictly as a service for the public.
