Equine coronavirus is newer on the scene than most equine diseases we hear about, with veterinarians reporting the first outbreaks among adult horses just a few years ago. Veterinarians know it causes fever, anorexia, diarrhea, and colic in affected horses. To prevent it, however, researchers need to better understand what characteristics or exposures increase a horse’s chances of infection
